The Essentials of Woody Plant Identification

How the Plant ID Challenge works:
Participants will be asked to go out and search the tradeshow floor to find about 20 plants on the Plant ID Challenge.

Exhibitors with an ID Challenge plant in their booth will be identified with a special sign. Participants must find the sign, find the plant, and provide both the scientific and common name for the plant. Exhibitors may also be asked to stamp the Challenge sheet with a stamp provided by New England Grows.

Completed Plant ID Challenge sheets will be returned to the Great Ideas pavilion on the Common. Grand prize drawings, surprises and give-aways, provided by New England Grows, will add to the fun.

Participants will be able to check their answers against actual plant material at the Great Ideas pavilion, once they have submitted their completed Challenge sheet, Extension personnel will be on hand to help answer questions.

Contribute to the Essentials of Plant ID Challenge (Complimentary): Help participants reinforce their plant knowledge and drive more traffic to your booth…all you need to do is bring a few plants from a list of material provided by the instructor and course participants will stop by your booth during their self-guided tour on the expo floor.
