Vincent has worked in the horticultural field for more than 24 years. For the past 18 years, he has worked in public horticulture as Director of the Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park in New York. He is the author of four books: Great Flowering Landscape Shrubs, Great Flowering Landscape Trees, Great Landscape Evergreens and The Wonders of the Winter Landscape. In 2010, Vincent contributed to a first ever textbook on public garden management. In the same year, he received the Long Island Nursery and Landscape Association Man of the Year award.
